This is the craziest thing: starting a new blog when the old one was just fine. Okay, not as crazy as moving from the big city to a small farm…800 miles away from the only home I’d ever known. THAT was crazy. And crazy GOOD!
That crazy leap of faith has taught me a million things, but as I shared our journey on the blog, an unexpected theme emerged in my writing and photography. Even when I wasn’t looking for it, the same theme captured my heart again and again: beauty in brokenness. The Lord literally used the process of writing and beauty hunting to teach my heart that yes, there is brokenness in this life, but in it, there is deep, untold beauty.
So what is Bravehearted Beauty? I don’t fully know yet. This new blog is where I’ll unpack it…right here with you, one post at a time. At it’s simplest, Bravehearted Beauty is a name God gave me in the midst of a dreary winter depression…in the midst of my brokenness. I knew it was a name from God, because there’s no way I could’ve come up with that on my own at the time! It’s a name that speaks to what God sees in me…even when I didn’t see it in myself.
As I’ve pondered this new name over the last month and a half, something hit me: God doesn’t just see Bravehearted Beauty in me; He sees it in you, too! And for some crazy reason, He wants to use me to call it out in you. How will I do that? I have no idea. All I know is that it involves writing and beauty hunting {photography}. Those are God’s gifts to me…the ways He speaks to me and through me. So here I am, trusting that God will use my gifts to speak to your brave and beautiful heart.
So…what do you say Bravehearted Beauties? Are you ready to ride?
If you’re starting this journey with me today {or any day}, would you be so brave as to let me know your name by leaving a comment below? You don’t have to say much, maybe even just the state you live in or how you landed here. I’d love to know who you are…who we are on this journey together.
Blessings to you, Bravehearted Beauties!

SHERRI ROCHA - I LOVE YOUR NEW BLOG ILL KEEP FOLLOWING XOXO SHERRI
Bravehearted Beauty - Sherri, you’ve been so sweetly faithful for most of my blogging years. Thank you!
paige - i’m so delighted to see this new beginning of bravehearted beauty!! that describes you & your heart!
love you & love to see what HE does in & through YOU!
Bravehearted Beauty - Oh, girl! You are a bigger part of this journey than you know. You saw the beauty in me during a season when I couldn’t see it in myself. Reminds me of how God sees us as we really are when we blind to it. Love you!
Cynthia Shomaker - I don’t remember how I stumbled on your blog…Pinterest? But when I read your post about your giant leap of faith I couldn’t hold back tears. For some reason, I’ve always wanted to move to Franklin, and I so admire how you let God urge you out of the boat. I’m a NC mountain girl who loves Jesus with all I am, just released my oldest girl to college, and am loving on my husband and teenage son as I daily write & study the Word. I, too, have suffered physically in the past & have found so many deeper levels of the Lord’s beauty in deeply wounded places. You are an inspiration & a joy. We get to Nashville for Titans games now & then and we always eat at Pucketts…maybe our paths can cross at some point! Blessings to you!
Bravehearted Beauty - Cynthia, thank you for writing and sharing a bit of your story. I couldn’t hold back the tears as I wrote those posts. They were pretty raw! Moving is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I’d do it again for the beauty that is bursting forth from the struggle. Thanks for joining me in the journey!
Cindy - Ahhhh Linsey…I can’t wait see what your Braveheart reveals. There’s a lot to discover in our new lives and within ourselves. Blessings to you.
Bravehearted Beauty - More than I ever knew!
Colleen - Hi Lindsey, I’m so excited to follow along … I own a little stationery shop in the town where I live, and I think I found your other blog because of your stationery. I love your decorating style and how brave you and your family are to just pick up and move! I would love to pick up my family and move to a more rural location. Anyway, I so enjoy your writing and photography (a hobby of mine as well!) and look forward to following you on your new venture! Best of luck to you!!
Bravehearted Beauty - Stationery shops are my favorite! I can drop $100 in minutes…even though I design stationery myself!
Rhonda - Hi Linsey….I have been drawn to your blog since I found it and am so excited to see how God works thru you to all of us that follow you. I emailed you last week but haven’t heard back so maybe I sent it to an email address you don’t check anymore. Would love to hear from you. Hugs and blessings as you follow what The Lord has called you to do.
Bravehearted Beauty - Sent you some thoughts today. Hope they help! I’m always behind on my email, so thanks for your patience!
Missy - I can’t wait to see what all you have in store. We moved from Texas to Calgary, AB almost 2 years ago and I can tell you from experience that winters are TOUGH. It’s hard to describe to those who live in sunny Houston, but it can wear you down. I’m popping Vitamin D everyday to just make my body stop hurting…hehe. I’m so excited for you and excited for all of us who have always followed you. Best of Luck!!
Bravehearted Beauty - I can’t even begin to imagine a Canadian winter. LOTS of Vitamin D for sure! Though I’m at a point now where I really NEED the sun! (And the Son!)
Cynthia - Love you, Linsey and can’t wait to see where this takes you!! Glad to be along for the ride- xoxoxo
Bravehearted Beauty - Saddle up, sister! We’re in for a good, long ride! xoxo

Bravehearted Beauty - So thankful to have met you through blogging! A gift to me for sure!
katie clooney - Hi Linsey! I followed your other blog and now I will follow you on this one. I have a question… I have you on my blogroll. Should I change your address or are you keeping the other blog as well? Good luck with your new endeavor.
Bravehearted Beauty - Hi Katie! I’ll leave LLH Designs open because I think there’s lots of good stuff there for people who stumble upon it, but I won’t be adding anything new. This is where I’ll be! Thanks for your many encouragements along the way!
Tricia - Howdy sweet friend- loving your new space here. Onward and upward!

Sue - I am not sure how I stumbled across you llh blog, but always felt blessed that I did. I live in northern ohio and am so excited about following you new blog and hoping to make a trip down to franklin one of these days.
Bravehearted Beauty - One of these days, I hope to share a list of some favorite things to do in Franklin since I’m often asked when people are heading this way. Hope to do that for blog friends like you.
Adrienne - So excited to see where God leads you (us)! I’ve been following your blog since before your move–I think I started reading with your Feingold diet. I just found it interesting even tho no food issues here. We try to eat whole and clean most of the time :). I’m in Chicago suburbs with my husband and 3 kids. We love Nashville and are coming back this summer as my husband has a conference there every other year. Also looking forward to some warmer and sunnier weather!!
Bravehearted Beauty - Yes to God leading US, not just me! I really get the feeling this isn’t just about me. Honored to be a part! And winter…be gone!
Sandy - Hi Linsey, love your blogs. We too moved from Texas to where we felt God was taking us – Glenwood Springs, CO. It has been wonderful, he just led and we followed. I first started following you about the time you were leaving Houston – I loved your home there and I have been reading your blog ever since. Best to you and your family – can’t wait to see what God reveals through your gift of teaching/writing!
Bravehearted Beauty - He led, and you followed. That’s good stuff! I love that we get that about each other.
Beth Swanson Lewis - Hi Linsey!!
I was so excited to see the announcement for your new blog! How lucky we were to have our paths cross at the City Farmhouse show last fall. I am excited to be on your Bravehearted journey with you!
Your blog looks beautiful.
Blessings to you!
Beth
Bravehearted Beauty - Being your neighbor at the barn show was one of the best parts of being there! I don’t know if I’ll be a vendor again, but I’ll come to see you again for SURE!
Jetty - Hello Linsey, i don’t remember how i stumbled on you blog, i think it was pinterest. Loved and still love reading about your live on the farm, enjoying your beautiful pictures. Maybe you like to know where i am living, i live in Groningen, Holland.
Bravehearted Beauty - I love knowing that I have a reader from Holland! Thanks for introducing yourself.
chrissi - i just can’t wait to see this new journey progress. love this new look too.
Bravehearted Beauty - Thank you, Chrissi!
Angela Burdge - Linsey, what a beautiful space you have created to share with us. I was a little concerned I might miss all the lovely interior design photos that you often shared, but I am so excited about your new blog and what new blessings I’ll find here! I’ve been following your blog for a few years and have often found comfort in your words. We have been in Dallas for over 5 years and are still miserable! I think we finally have a plan in place to enable us to move back to the east coast. It’s very comforting to know others struggle with all kinds of situations and life isn’t perfect for anyone. Thank you for opening your heart up when I know it isn’t a very easy thing to do. Keep sharing the pics of Bella and Buddy! My boys love them, as we have our own Bella the Great Pyrenees!
Bravehearted Beauty - Glad to know you’ll be with me on the journey. And who knows, I may have unexpected interior design inspiration from time to time. I’m not one to change up my house very often and feel like I’ve shown all there is to see. Whereas outside, the beauty is always changing. God is so creative! Love that you have a GP named Bella. Similar breed in terms of their livestock guardian instincts. Lots of farms use GPs here.
Tina - Linsey, CONGRATULATIONS! I wish I could give you a kiss. Oh I can so here it is…SMOOSH….all over your beautiful face. All the love and good wishes to you in your breakout roll. Always walk toward the SON dear one. Always, Tina
Bravehearted Beauty - Aww. Thanks, Tina! You have blessed me with your words.
Brooke - Linsey, Congratulations on your new venture! I’ve been following your blog since your big move and I can’t wait to share in your new direction!
Bravehearted Beauty - Thank you, Brooke! So glad you’re joining me in this new thing!
Mar - Linsay, Reading your blog has been such a pleasure. Your writing, decorating and photography is second to none. Althought I will miss the decorating, I am looking forward to continuing with you on this new adventure as God leads you. It’s often in our hurts and struggles that we find our mission. Thanks for being such an encourager to all of us who have bouts of depression and look for the light to show us the way out. You are a blessing.
Bravehearted Beauty - Second to none…what a compliment! Thank you for your kindness! And YES, it is through struggle and pain that passion is born. I hate depression. So sorry you battle it. I may have more to say about it in time.
Gracia Gilbertson - Linsey,
Love the name of your new blog! I have been following along with LLH Designs for quite a while. So glad you share your life and thoughts and lovely photos with all of us. God’s richest blessings on this new direction! I Cor 2:9,”Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor has entered into the heart of man, what God has prepared for those who love Him. Warmly, Gracia
Bravehearted Beauty - Love that verse, Gracia!
Rachel - Hi Linsey,
I’m from Peoria, Arizona. I’ve asked questions in your comment section before on your husbands form of chiropractic. Can’t wait to see where the new blog leads.
Rachel
Bravehearted Beauty - Glad you said hello here, Rachel! Thank you.
Lauren - Thank you for being brave enough to write, share and be an encouragement to others. Atlanta, Ga
Bravehearted Beauty - Honored. Thanks for being here!
Holly Mc - So excited for your new blog. I’m discovering God as I never have before lately and I look forward to what He’s giving you to share with us. I’m a Tennesse gal by the way!
Bravehearted Beauty - You go, sister! Right there with you…discovering more and more of Jesus (and myself) everyday!
Bravehearted Beauty - Thanks to all of you who have bravely left a name here today. I love knowing who’s on the other side of this computer screen! We’re in this together, Bravehearted Beauties!
Cynthia - I absolutely love your writing. I followed your previous blog. I am a Louisianan living in Collierville TN. Please continue sharing your family and animals.
Bravehearted Beauty - Oh, there will be more animals than most people can stand, I’m sure! They are just so fun to photograph!
Becky C - I’m still with you sweet friend…wherever you are
congrats on new beginnings
lots of hugs from
louisiana
Becky
Bravehearted Beauty - Sweet Becky, thank you. I can’t wait for the day that I get to meet you in real life!
Sol - Thanks for the reminder that He indeed sees beauty in each of us.
xo.
Bravehearted Beauty - Absolutely!
erin - Hi Linsey! I don’t think I’ve commented before but I just want to say I’m so excited for this new journey of yours and that I get to follow along! I first found your LLH Designs blog when you were still living in Houston. I loved reading about your eating style, your girls (I have two girls) and your beautiful home. I was drawn by your style and inspired. And then you moved and I followed your journey. I love your heart for God and your eye for beauty. Congratulations on this new adventure.
Erin
Bravehearted Beauty - Thanks so much for leaving your first comment! Such a blessing to know who’s on the other side of this screen. Makes blogging feel so much more personal and purposeful.
Carole Lane Palser - I love the name of your new blog. Hope you all are doing well! Have u seen the pics of my new ( and first) granddaughter? She is such an incredible little person!!
Have you read “Lioness Arising” by Lisa Bevere? I loved it so much-think you would too!
Carole
Bravehearted Beauty - Haven’t read it, but love the title! Yes to that!
Inga - Dear Linsey!
When reading your old blog, so many times it could have been about me, oh how I recognized so many things….but I would never be brave enough to make it public like you do….
Can’t wait for all the beauty from your brave heart! Dublin, TX
Bravehearted Beauty - I have a feeling you are braver than you think you are! 🙂
Paula - Linsey – I’m looking forward to your new blog. Of course, I’ll be following you and will even subscribe. I enjoyed reading your blog and especially enjoyed your sweet, & gentle spirit as you wrote about your family & your home. I also enjoyed your photos and the beauty you shared with us. By the way, I too, have a sheltie and think they are the sweetest dogs ever. Cowboy is my
4th sheltie and he is now 10 years old. Seeing your puppy makes me thankful for the years we have had together. I wish you the best and I pray your heart gets braver every day.
Bravehearted Beauty - Thank you, Paula. And your Sheltie love is encouraging. Mine is driving e a little crazy with all his puppy energy and barking. But he was meant to be here and loves life on the farm!
Mardelle - What a blessing you are to me! I am so grateful for your honesty, your willingness to share your struggles, your awareness of God in you! I look forward to sharing your journey!
Bravehearted Beauty - Sweet Mardelle, thank you for your sweet words! And thank you for being with me in the journey. May it bless us all!
Sherri - Well Linsey, I’m new to you and your “old” blog by about 2 days! I felt drawn to you because my grandparents lived in Houston until their passing years ago. They lived in Southside, which is in West University and when I saw your home I could envision it on their street. And now I find myself with tears in my eyes feeling like God brought me to you now for a reason. Why, I don’t know. Maybe to grow, learn, be stronger, find a peace. Anyway, I don’t usually comment but felt the urge to. I look forward to getting to know you. Thank you.~ Sherri
Bravehearted Beauty - Perfect timing! Just in time to start afresh! I know Southside well. And yes, God brought you here for a reason. No accidents in his plan!
Kim - Linsey, I have loved, loved, loved reading LLH Designs. I feel like we are kindred spirits, like Anne of Green Gables :). I am a California girl and I have lived in many places, so I can so relate to your feelings in TN. All of the places I have lived have become a part of who I am, and they have changed me. (Not sure if you have ever seen the verse, Acts 26:17 but it has brought me comfort where it says, “I have chosen the EXACT place where you will live.”) I am in So. Cal now and have been for the past decade or so. My friends and I are currently studying Alisa Morgan’s book, The Beauty of Broken. I think it really dovetails with the theme of your blog. I love that you have launched your new blog right during the first week of spring…God is doing a new thing in you and I love that you are willing, vulnerable, and authentic enough to share it with all of us. May God bless you in this new chapter of your journey and your new blog. It is certainly a blessing to many, many people.
Bravehearted Beauty - I love Anne of Green Gables! And kindred spirits! Oooh…Beauty of Broken sounds right up my alley. I had no idea that’s the journey God had for me, and never would’ve chosen it for myself. Thank you for being here with me!
aimee - Lovely new site. Looks awesome
Bravehearted Beauty - Thanks, Aimee!
Nancy - Can’t wait to follow along in your new place! I used to read LLH Designs.
~Nancy from South Carolina
Bravehearted Beauty - Glad you’re making the move with me, Nancy!
Jill Holly - Hi Linsey, You know, I’m not sure how I found you but I am so glad I did. Your words speak to me so many times. I’ve been trying so hard and so long now to “find Jill” maybe I need to trust in my faith more. Anyhow, I could go on and on but I’m sure you really don’t want to hear it. I Just wanted to wish you the very best with your new blog and Thank You So Much for doing it!! Your site looks so fresh and clean. It is beautiful and so are you. (on the inside and out) oh, I’m from a small town outside of Philadelphia PA. In the heart of beautiful Chester County. I call it America’s Best Kept Secret. Thanks again!!
Bravehearted Beauty - I don’t know if this is true for everyone, but the best way for me to find myself is to ask God to show me what He sees in me. He sees so much more in us than we can see in ourselves. Then our work is to believe in what he says…even on the days when it doesn’t feel true. You’re in good company here! We’ll do this together.
Debora - Linsey, I’m so excited for you! And me! To follow along on this, your continued beauty hunting adventure! I’m so happy you are happy. We sure do miss you in Houston!
Bravehearted Beauty - You were a sweet blog gift to me in Houston, Debora. I’ll never forget the way you served me with a Whole Foods run during Christmas card season. You came to me like an angel!
Patricia Potter - Linsey,
Loved LLH and have enjoyed each one since I found you about a year or so ago. You have touched my life in ways I cannot describe. Thank you for bringing me out of a deep depression with sharing your feelings of life and what was happening to you. It made me take a long hard look at myself and pick myself up and start over at 60. I’m sure I will love the new blog just as much if not more. You show us such bravery and I know God has lead you to this place.
I live on the coast of North Carolina in the town of Morehead City, which is next to Atlantic Beach, NC.
Looking forward to reading more!
Patricia
Bravehearted Beauty - Patricia, I am so touched. To think that I had anything at all to do with bringing you out of a deep depression is beyond humbling. Suddenly, sharing so vulnerably during times when I didn’t want to share at all feels life a gift. I just wanted to crawl under a rock, not write…and not to “strangers.” You bless me today…just knowing you were helped in some way by my writing. Thank you for sharing! And may there be much LIGHT shining in you and over you in the days ahead!
Peggy Born - I have followed your blog for years. I live in Houston but met you last fall at the City Farmhouse Barn Show. Your blog and your love for Christ has been a blessing to me. May God continue to bless you.
Bravehearted Beauty - It was so fun to meet you there! Such a small world!
Alyce - Good Morning! My name is Alyce and I live in the beautiful state of North Carolina! I have followed your “old” blog for a while and have really enjoyed your writing, photography and how you share your faith with your readers. God has richly blessed you and I am so thankful that you are sharing what He has given you with all of us!
Bravehearted Beauty - A beautiful state indeed! I was just there for a marriage retreat {briefly!} and definitely want to return to those mountains!
Mel Dawley - So glad you’re back, I have missed you! I love seeing the world through your eyes. I also love that you LOVE our Lord & Savior as much as I do. I love that you find it ok to let the world know that life is NOT perfect. Although we all want it to be. I have two girls also, they are grown, 26 & 30, and have a new granddaughter that Rocks my world. Just when I thought I wasn’t really “needed” anymore, a beautiful angel was placed in our arms, another girl at that!!! I couldn’t be more excited for you and your new venture and cant wait to see what God has in store for you.
Mel XO
Bravehearted Beauty - Oh, how I wished that life WERE perfect! When I stopped trying so hard to make it so, it got messy, but so much more beautiful, deep and good. And sweet Mel, you will always be needed! Every day God gives you is one that you are needed here.
Jane B - Hi Linsey,
My name is Jane and I’ve been following you for a while now. Can’t say that I remember when I started but just know something drew me to your posts; whether it was the writing or the pictures or the emotions revealed….who knows! Just know that I enjoy reading your posts and seeing your pics.
I’m not a blogger, just a somewhat worn out grandmother who likes living vicariously thru you young’uns! ;0)
Bravehearted Beauty - Thanks for introducing yourself, Jane! Glad to know you’re here on the journey with me!
michele - Hi Linsey! I look forward to Braveheart Beauty and the pictures and words you will share on the blog. I particularly like the horse picture on today’s post.
My name is Michele and I live in PA (transplant from GA). I appreciate you for sharing so openly and sometimes feel like you are speaking just to me b/c what you are sharing is so close to my heart and what is stirring in it!
Looking forward to your new blog and also upcoming events at Ten10Farm.
Michele
Bravehearted Beauty - Hi Michele – I love how God can write through me and speak exactly what your heart needs. Such a privilege for me as a writer to know He can use me that way. Blessings to you!
Amanda - Oh yes–I’m in, all in. In with brokenness, beauty, and an adoring Heavenly Father who will work ALL THINGS for good. This morning I’m so THANKFUL for you. Deeply thankful. For friendship that is REAL, because it’s rooted in Him–and for the desire He’s given you, because it’s the truest blessing in my life. With love and heartfelt prayers!
Bravehearted Beauty - Amanda girl, I don’t deserve you. A friend formed through a screen who has loved me well through comments over the years. Who would’ve thought it?!?! And now, the way you are serving me and blessing me with your gifts? It’s almost too much to take in! xo
shar y - Hi, and congratulations on the new blog. I have been following for a little while and have enjoyed your blog so far. I am in Houston but my daughter is in Franklin area and somewhere between the two, I found your blog! Here’s to many happy and Godly adventures to come for us all!
Bravehearted Beauty - A Houston-Franklin connection! Welcome! Glad you’re here.
Johna - Hello! I followed llh just as you were making your move. I live in Austin.
Bravehearted Beauty - Austin is about as close to being like Nashville as any city could be. Love it!
Devon - I have often felt just like you write, but I’m not brave enough (yet) to write on my own. I live here in Franklin and know of the beauty that surrounds us – I’ve been here 20 years and still feel like I’m on my honeymoon! I read your blog long before you journeyed to Franklin and have loved seeing it (Franklin) through your eyes. Blessings to you with this new space!
Bravehearted Beauty - I love that you feel like you’re on a honeymoon here 20 years later! Can I encourage you to start writing somewhere…even if it’s in a journal that only you see? Maybe you do that already. It’s one of the clearest ways that I can see life…through words.
Bonnie Morgan - I am from Alabama and I met you via your mother’s wonderful blog years ago. I love following your life journey discovering beauty and God’s plan for your life.
Bravehearted Beauty - Hello again, Bonnie! Thanks for jumping over!
Jerelle - I’m so excited for your new blog! I found you through another blog via your post about your Houston home. You are beautiful inside and out! Thank you for being transparent!
Bravehearted Beauty - Thank you, Jarelle. Honored that you’d stick around for more than pictures of my home.
Susan - I’m a Florida gal who has been following you since your big move. Your words and pictures speak directly to my heart, in fact sometimes I think that are written specifically for me! Looking forward to taking this journey with you and drawing closer to Jesus! You are a sweet blessing!
Bravehearted Beauty - I have a feeling some of the words ARE written just for you. God does that! Still amazes me that he does, and I love knowing that it happens. Honored to write for Him.
Jennifer Gordon - So excited for your new blog. Fabulous graphics as always! Thank you for sharing your heart!
Bravehearted Beauty - Thanks, Jennifer! You’ve always been such a sweet encourager of my designs. God inspired the logo in church a few weeks ago. Just dropped it in my head on the spot!
Deana Bibb - Congratulations on another adventure! I love the name, look and mission. Prayers to you brave one.
Bravehearted Beauty - Thank you, Deana. You’ve been such a sweet blessing that has come from blogging. Thankful for you!
Loriane - I’m here in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada and in need of girl friendships. Thank you for being there for me.
Loriane
Bravehearted Beauty - I hope you’ll find a heart friend there. I wouldn’t have survived the move without some of my blog friends, but a heart friend in your hometown is so needed. I get that. Praying that for you.
Ana - Linsey,
Congratulations on your new blog! I loved your other blog and am so looking forward to all that God has for you here at Bravehearted Beauty! I wish you blessings and joy in this new direction from once again, chilly New Jersey!!! Who said they were popping Vitamin D’s? I think I need some!
Bravehearted Beauty - LOTS of Vitamin D! Come on, SUN!!!
Amy - Following because I am certain if our paths ever actually cross we will be fast friends. From Baldwin City KS…watching and waiting…your posts make me smile, sometimes cry, think, feel and remind me to remember what I know to be true. May your days be full of acknowledged blessings.
Bravehearted Beauty - I love what you said about remembering what you know to be true. I need to remember everyday. You have no idea how quickly I can forget what’s true! Glad to have some kindred spirits out there!
Mary - Hi Lindsey, I live in Raleigh NC. I stumbled upon your old blog about a year and a half ago. I was instantly attracted to your Houston home, the color palette, the lightness, the elegance… I slowly used it as a guide to remove the dark gold, browns and greens from my home. I had seagrass custom cut for my floors, painted the walls with creams, blue grays, covered chairs and window treatments in linen, I already love French antiques but rearranged bookshelves editing and editing etc. it remains a work in process but every time I walk in my house I love it more. My house feels fresher and elegant and so do I. It sounds so superficial but I feel like inviting people to my home now and I enjoy entertaining. Last year in the midst of picking paint colors for my dining room, the first room I boldly painted a light beautiful cream, I wrote you in despair as a total stranger and you wrote right back with advice and reassuring words. Thank you. However your greatest gift to me was the blog in which you mentioned the book “Jesus Calling.” I bought it as something to read over the weekend, I didn’t really know what the book was about. Then I opened it and it has changed my life. I read it every single day. I have since given leather bound versions as gifts and changed others lives as well. I live a life of gratitude now and practice it everyday. For that I am eternally grateful to you Lindsey. A Thousand Gifts was also a good read you recommended. I doubt you have any idea the impact you have made to the lives of some of your readers but I often ponder how God works in mysterious ways, I was so attracted to your blog for the design ideas and walked away with so so much more.
Bravehearted Beauty - Mary, I’m touched on so many levels. Thank you for all that you shared. Jesus Calling never gets old. If you’re still reading it years from now, you’ll still feel like it’s speaking right to your heart on just the right day! Love that it’s been so life changing. That’s so GOD! I also love knowing that you were drawn to my blog for design but found so much more. Blessings to you!
Teresa - Love that you’re keeping this going in a new “home.”
Bravehearted Beauty - Thanks for being here, Teresa.
Lorna Bateman - I found your blog a long time ago and it is the only one I religiously read!
Truly uplifts me!
Lorna
Bravehearted Beauty - Honored! Thank you!
susie - Congratulations!! I was a subscriber of your old blog. Best of luck with your new adventure of “Brave Hearted Beauty”.
Bravehearted Beauty - So glad you’re joining me on this new adventure! I don’t know where it’s heading, but I know it’s going to be good!
Liz BPV - Bravehearted Beauty sounds like fun! I’ll be checking in from Murrieta, CA.
Bravehearted Beauty - Thanks for sharing where you’re reading. Always fun to know!

Karen - I’ve moved from South Dakota to Texas. I dislike change but I know it is so good for us. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
Bravehearted Beauty - Change is SO hard, and while I love Texas, I know that was a BIG change! May much beauty flow from it.
Shannon McKenzie - I love how God used your dark times to see the beauty. I am also a beauty seeker (designer) who lives in Northern CA and I am excited to see where God leads you (us). Blessings to you Sister.

Chrissy - Oh gosh, I think I found you through Pinterest, ages ago. I loved your old blog and was constantly sharing your beautiful pictures and words with my family. I’ve been dying to start my own blog but am totally overwhelmed by the tech-y “nuts and bolts” of it all. Maybe being with you from the beginning of this one will help get me going. Congratulations and thank you!!
Bravehearted Beauty - If you feel a tugging in your heart and a calling in your spirit, GO! You can do it! I hate all the techy stuff, but once you get past the setup, it’s done! Then all you do is the good stuff!
Honey - I live in beautiful Southwest Oregon in a tiny town without even as much as a traffic light. I originally found LLH designs while googling a particular type of dining table. Something about your spirit reminds me of a dear friend I had to move away from 2 years ago.
Bravehearted Beauty - Honored that I remind you of a dear friend, but sorry you had to move away. Dear friends are rare treasures. Love that your town doesn’t even have a light!
Judi Frost - I love the beauty in your photography and your words of wisdom. Refreshing and thoughtful and forever kind. Thank you

I would like to wish you luck in your new endeavour. I am an artist and photographer and have a couple of blogs but I use photography more than my words. Thanks for sharing and giving hope.
Bravehearted Beauty - You know the saying…a good photograph is worth more than a thousand words!
Dana - I’m looking forward to this new adventure!
Janice - Cindy gave me your site and I have been following it for a few months and find that you often speak for me and to me as well, or perhaps it is He who speaks …thank you

Kathleen Ann - Hello,
I live in N.Calif.
I don’t recall how I first came upon your blog.
God at work in your life caught my attention.
Recently He captivated me by the meaning of my name…
Kathleen which means Pure…
Ann which means Grace.
Pure Grace…
That is the truth of every believers life…
All that I am is His most costly gift to me.
I am my Beloveds and He is mine.
I look forward to riding together on this journey of Bravehearted Beauty.
God bless you my dear sister ~ Kathleen Ann
Bravehearted Beauty - Pure Grace…what a name! I love it! Isn’t God something?!?! He knew that about you before you even knew it yourself! Thanks for joining me in this Bravehearted Beauty journey!
Kim - So encouraged by your beautiful brave heart! I love how our Abba Father uses our deepest wounds to birth our passions that put our gifts and talents to work for His glory! Eager to see how His plans unfold. Love & Blessings, Kim
Bravehearted Beauty - Amen to birthing passions out of our deepest wounds. I wouldn’t have asked for it this way, but thankful to be on the receiving end of it all now. Thankful for you, my friend!
Ashley - A friend here in Houston (who is also a blogger) referred me to your blog right after your move…and I’ve been cherishing your truth and beauty hunting since. I remember not seeing a post from you after a long while, which was unusual at the time. So I felt it meant something and prayed for you. Sure enough, that depression was creeping in. Thank you for sharing the rawness and the glory that comes from it!
Bravehearted Beauty - Those were some dark days. Hard to offer life and light when you feel like you’re in the dark, but beauty is growing from those places, and I am thankful. Glad you’re here, Ashley.
Donna Levi - Donna- I am a California girl, stuck in LA. I have been a long time follower and have enjoyed reading your blog through your moving process and seeing your blog grow and your writing as well. I was interested in following the journey of your move and how you shaped your new life. You have courage and have now found your passion and I look forward to following you on this new journey.

Bravehearted Beauty - Cling tightly to Jesus as you leap! There’s been nothing harder, yet nothing more beautiful in our lives. We’d do it all again. I hope some of my old posts are of some comfort to you during your early months in a new town.
Nathalie - Hi Linsey !
Thank you very much for your blog and God bless you and your family
Bravehearted Beauty - Merci d’écrire en français! Je n’ai pas parlé français en 10 ans, mais je peux toujours lire et écrire un peu. J’adore la langue. J’espère visiter la France bientôt! Thank you for reading my blog and taking the time to say hello today!
Lorena G - Hi Linsey, and greetings from Houston! I can’t contain how excited I am about your new blog and all the inspirational wisdom and grace your readers will derive from it! Can the blog name be any more perfect? Blessings to you, sweet girl 😎
Lorena

Bravehearted Beauty - You are so dear, Kay. Those are some blessed children and grandchildren! Hugs to you!

Was glad someone else felt the same way about paint. I have enjoyed your photos, and also your wisdom esecially for someone as young. So I will continue to follow your journey. Thank you and God bless! Christina from Ohio
Bravehearted Beauty - I love that something as crazy-making as choosing a paint color drew you here! Blessings to you!

Bravehearted Beauty - I’m needing it, too! We’re in this together!
Lori Young - Linsey,
Thanks for inviting us to come alongside you and be Bravehearted Beauties! I’ve been following your blog for about a year and a half, since before we found out we were going to pursue one of our dreams that lead us away from all that was familiar for 25 years (in Seattle), and to a new sun drenched land (Phoenix). Your reflections on your move, and the adjustment that you went through brought perspective and comfort through the difficulties and doubts that plagued us. I’ve watched you emerge with new beauty and depth, and I’m following suit 🙂
Bravehearted Beauty - Awesome, Lori! And a huge YES to new beauty and depth! May there be more beauty that we can imagine!
Christine Adcock - So excited to follow along on your new blog!! I can’t wait. You truly speak to my heart and sometimes I feel as you are writing directly from my thoughts. Thank you for sharing beauty!
Bravehearted Beauty - Hi Christine! I love that God can speak to your heart through me. It’s one of the greatest joys of writing here. Thanks for sharing that.
Christi Pramudji - I LOVE IT! I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for us! Miss you! XXOO
Bravehearted Beauty - So glad you’re in this with me, Christi! You are no doubt a Bravehearted Beauty! I see that in you for sure! xo
Karen T. - I’m excited about this journey! By the way, I’m a TN girl!
Bravehearted Beauty - And I’m becoming one! The Texas girl in me will always be there, but I do love Tennessee. Very glad to be here.
Lauren - Linsey, I am so excited for you and your new blog. I have been following you since your days in Houston. I moved, too, from West U and it was one of the most difficult times of my life. Change is hard for me and when I read about your move and your struggles, it seemed as if I was reading about myself. I could totally relate. I love the direction you have been going with your blog and have been praying for you. I am so proud of your bravery! “Let your light shine before people in such a way that they may see your good words and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16. You go girl!
Bravehearted Beauty - West U is a hard place to leave. So “perfect” in so many ways. And yet leaving perfection is exactly what I needed Yes to letting your light shine!
Jody - I found your original site while looking for decorating blogs/inspiration. I live in The Woodlands and have enjoyed your blog for quite some time now. I’m excited to see where this new blog takes you…and me.
Bravehearted Beauty - Oh, the places we’ll go!
Theresa Lindsay - I live in Argyle, Tx and am so looking forward to this journey!!
Bravehearted Beauty - Glad you’re here, Theresa.
Alison Wenz - Hi Linsey! I’m an Atlanta mama of two who stumbled across your blog a little over a year ago while looking online for a zinc topped table – funny how God brings people together, isn’t it?! I have enjoyed hearing what is on your heart ever since, and wish you many blessings along this new path God leads you on with Bravehearted Beauty!
Bravehearted Beauty - I love how God has used that zinc top table! Many are here because of that table. Oh, how He’s used it!
Dikola - Hi Linsey…I’m the girl who moved from beautiful Nashville back to Houston;) It’s been really great so far. I think what I love about this transition and the opportunity to follow you is…many popular girls out there have the theme, be real, be yourself, just show up today, but there is a lack of biblical grit to their message. With honor and dignity you share your dark places and you shine the light of God’s Word and the beauty of His creation and how He has gifted you on the struggle. That’s what makes you a bravehearted beauty in my heart and this is a pretty cool way to use all of that to minister to others. May God have the Victory!
Bravehearted Beauty - I love it that you think I have grit! great word, and I’m honored. If light can’t shine in the darkness, then what good is it? I’m learning that. Thanks for chiming in. I’ve loved learning snippets of your heart and story!
Julie Alichwer - I stumbled across your blog by searching everything I could on Franklin. We are hoping to someday to call it home! Thank you for your beautiful photos and sharing your stories. You make me feel as if I’m on this journey with you.
Julie
Bravehearted Beauty - Oh, but we ARE on this journey together! Yes indeed! Blessings to you as you dream.
Shari - Following and enjoying your journey from sunny Florida!
Bravehearted Beauty - Oh, how I love the sunshine!
Paula Hauser - My husband retired in June and we moved here from Sugar Land, TX in July of last year. We’re renting while we build a house on 17 acres in Franklin, near Leiper’s Fork. A friend of mine in Sugar Land told me about your LLH blog and I’ve been following you since we moved here. I share your faith and I find your blog very insightful. I hope to meet you at some time in the future. Wishing you blessings and all the best! ❤️
Bravehearted Beauty - Wow, Paula! I love Leiper’s Fork. If we didn’t have kiddos in school, I think we would’ve fallen hard for Leiper’s Fork. Stayed there when we came to “scout” just before our move. Blessings to you! And if you ever see me around town, please say hi! Sometimes people tell me they saw me but felt weird to say hi in the moment. Not weird at all for me. Love meeting people in real life!
Jennifer - Linsey, wow-bravehearted beauty . . . just perfect. I love it so much! I love how you search for Him, with heart intent and filled with expectation for Him showing up. And in that space with Him you invite us in . . .and we are there with you, His daughters, wrapped up in His beauty our hearts can’t help but sing. Glorious, sister. Thank you. I am so excited for all that He has in store!
Bravehearted Beauty - I love that you are with me! And love that you are as expectant as I am for what He has in store! It’s GOT to be good!
sara s - Linsey, I’ve read your blog since a few years back when you were still in Houston, and it has been a gift to see this new chapter unfolding in your life, and along with it the new things that God is doing both in and through you.
Your journey from urbanite to animal-surrounded country-girl has been really fun to be part of from afar. And I think it is so neat that you have “both” of those people inside you now to live into. Different seasons make life rich and full, and I love reading how you see God growing you and stretching you in a new place. Beauty in all things, especially the places we perhaps never thought to look or expect it to spring forth from.
I’m learning that, too. Thanks for writing and capturing the goodness of it all, and bringing us along with you. I so look forward to reading your posts.
Bravehearted Beauty - Sara, you are so right about the richness of being both the citygirl and the farmgirl. I’m so thankful for both in my life. SO glad you enjoy the animal photos. Sometimes it feels like overkill, but that’s what life looks like here!
Stephanie - Fellow houstonian here-your Texas flag is upside down!! Love the new site!
Bravehearted Beauty - I’m laughing out loud! Of COURSE it’s upside down! Our whole life has been turned upside down since we moved. Very fitting…and funny! And very telling that I didn’t even notice! 🙂
Lindsey Buck - Hi Linsey! I’m a pastor’s wife in Georgia and I’ve been reading since just after you moved to Franklin. My dear friend, Deana, also reads and perhaps it was her that shared your blog. Your words and photography, as well as your eye for good design (I’m an interior designer), have been inspiring to me. More than anything, I love hearing about your journey in faith. A life in Christ is about serving Him and His purposes and choosing joy… I’m praying for you in this new chapter of your life here on BB. Thanks for writing.
Bravehearted Beauty - Hi Lindsey! {People often spell my name like yours!} Thank you for introducing yourself. I love Deana. Got to meet her in person when her family was in Franklin. She was such a blessing and an encouragement to me. Blogging can feel so silly at times…until you meet someone in person or get to know them through comments. Knowing a real person is on the other side of this screen makes all the difference! Look forward to “knowing” you more!
Kym - Hi Linsey, I’m a pastor’s wife & have been reading your Blog all the way from Melbourne, Australia since you moved to Franklin! I’ve loved seeing your beautiful farm, and the amazing American country-side that is so different from my own. I’ve struggled with depression too in the last few years & you’ve inspired me to search for the simple beauty in every day life. God bless you as you use your talents for Him. They’re a blessing & a joy! God is good!
Bravehearted Beauty - Honored that you’d take the time to read my words here. And from a country I’d love to visit someday! I bet I’d love beauty hunting in your part of the world! I’m so sorry that you’ve battled depression. It’s the worst kind of darkness I’ve ever known. So lonely…and yet we aren’t alone. Thankful I could provide some encouragement to you in that. Hugs!
Nicole - LINSEY! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment to wake me up to your new blog! I was just thinking this morning that I needed to pop in and see if your grand reveal had come, and now I see I had missed it! Can’t wait to peruse and see what God has to say through you.
So exciting for you to have fresh digs (and for all of us as well!).
xo,
Nicole
Kate - Way to go Girl! You are making me smile from ear to ear! Love it!
Glenda White - I have read your blog for awhile. You have gave me hope thru some dark days. I live in Indiana. It is amazing what God can do! Thanks for all you do!
Bravehearted Beauty - So grateful to know I have been a light in the darkness. Honored really. May your days of light far outnumber your days of darkness. Praying that for myself, too!
Rebekah - I had only read a few posts of LLH Blog – enough to know that you had moved from Texas to Tennessee, you were a woman of faith, had beautiful taste and were getting ready to experience a great life adventure. I just read the posts on BB and already feel a special bond – crazy, I know, but it so spoke to me as I am on a quest to discover more of God’s beauty and in turn help others discover it. We serve an awesome God and I love the way he speaks to us – even through a blog. I’ll be checking in often. Blessings to you from the great state of Texas~
Bravehearted Beauty - Thanks so much for connecting, Rebekah. Not crazy at all to read someone’s heart and feel a bond. God can connect hearts even through the internet! Blessings to you as you hunt for beauty and help others do the same.
emi - My name is emi. I live in Tennessee, north of Nashville. I met you at the City Farmhouse Barn show. I believe God led me to your LLH Design blog to speak about the beauty in brokenness. I’m in awe for this new venture of yours & God. I hope one day to attend one of your beauty hunting retreats. (My husband is definitely encouraging me to go.) Thank you for this blog & for your openness to share your journey. Numbers 6:24-26
Bravehearted Beauty - Hi Emi! I’d love for you to come to a Beauty Hunting retreat. In fact, I think I got an email from you! Behind on replies, but will be in touch! How sweet of your husband to encourage you to come!
Mary Beth - I stumbled upon your blog years ago while researching food allergies. Loved your decorating style and love for all things beautiful–and have been a follower ever since. My life has taken some unexpected turns over the past 9 months as I recover from my third and final breast cancer surgery (I am going to be fine–I am one of the lucky ones who was diagnosed very very early) and today I loved reading about your new blog. Life is a series of leaps of faith–at least that has been my experience. I am happy to have your blog to remind me of that.
Bravehearted Beauty - I can’t imagine what your journey has been like, but I so admire your courage to show up and share a piece of your story with me. Thank you for that. May you receive deep and lasting healing. P.S. I love knowing the ways people landed here. I’m still so passionate about food…just don’t write about it much.
Emily - Hi Linsey. My friend told me to check out your blog over breakfast last week. I was talking about our log cabin and farm we just bought near Franklin. Seems we have a lot in common! I am so happy she told me about your blog, I just love your stories and style! I work in downtown franklin at an outdoor store, hope you stop by and say hi someday!
Bravehearted Beauty - Welcome, Emily! So glad you’re here. A log cabin sounds dreamy! Would love to run into you. Do you work at Binks?
Kathryn - hello braveheart beauty! glad you started out on something you felt so inspired to do. I trust you will be led on a glorious path. Carry on! The good, the brave, the beautiful will follow. And perhaps those who are faint-of-heart will take courage.
Bravehearted Beauty - Amen, sister! And thank you.
kerrie - You are speaking many truths the Lord speaks to my heart…Psalm 27:4 “To behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.” is a scripture that I have been living for over 15 yrs. So yes, I will delight to follow your Bravehearted Beauty journey here. xxo Kerrie
Nancy - Thought of you the other day when I saw a book titled Beautiful Chickens. Do you have it yet?
Shelley - Hi, I originally was following you in your other website as I was really wanting to move to Franklin. However, at this time it does not look like that is in our families plan. I have enjoyed all your posts..they have encouraged me a lot…..thanks for all you do.
Sheila Fox - So thrilled to have found you, again. I’ve journeyed with you as you moved from Houston to Nashville and have rejoiced, cried and prayed for you all along the way. I have no doubt the Lord led me to you then and again right now. So, I am thrilled to begin this journey with you. Thank you for ministering to me, encouraging me and speaking to my hearts cry to follow Christ no matter the cost. So, move over, make room for me, I’m all in! 😀
Blessings to you, my sister in Christ!
Bravehearted Beauty - I love your “all in” heart! So glad you’re on the journey with me. We’ll find out what Bravehearted Beauty is all about together!
Emily - I found your blog this week and I’m so thankful for you! I read your new blog, then went back and read your entire old blog, and then re-read your new blog. ha! I laughed and cried along the way. The post that touched me most was that you didn’t get to say goodbye and have closure with your Houston home. I can relate and will always miss my old home. My parents recently divorced and moved from my childhood home (where I thought they would live forever). I’m happy I was able to say a goodbye to my old bedroom. You reminded me of that special moment of saying goodbye to my old house. I’m happy to find such a well written and beautifully photographed blog to add to my list of special reading material. Keep up the good work!
